Mission, Vision, & Values 

Mission: The Office of Access & Equity is part of the Division of Institutional Integrity and provides leadership to the University’s efforts to foster a welcoming and accessible environment. The office promotes equity in educational opportunity, programming, and employment and promotes an environment of respect while honoring civil rights for all members of the University community. The Office of Access & Equity is comprised of Disability Resources and Equal Opportunity.

 Executive Director of Access & Equity

The Executive Director of Access & Equity serves as the University’s ADA/504 Coordinator, Equal Employment  Officer, Clery Compliance Officer, and Title IX Coordinator for students, employees, applicants, and visitors. The Executive Director is responsible for coordinating and overseeing university programs to ensure compliance with applicable University policies, procedures, processes, best practices, and training in compliance with anti-discrimination legislation and regulations, including Title VII, Title IX, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The Executive Director supervises the Office of Access and Equity, which consists of the Disability Resources and Equal Opportunity, by providing departmental leadership and strategic direction.

Maranda joined the University in 2004. 

 

 

 

 

 

Executive Assistant to the Executive Director

Ronaka serves as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director of Access & Equity.  Ronaka is additionally responsible for budget oversight for both the Disability Resource and Equal Opportunity units of Access & Equity.
