Mission: The Office of Access & Opportunity is part of the Division of Institutional Integrity and provides leadership to the University’s efforts to foster a welcoming and accessible environment. The office promotes opportunity in educational opportunity, programming, and employment and promotes an environment of respect while honoring civil rights for all members of the University community. The Office of Access & Opportunity is comprised of Disability Resources and Equal Opportunity.

 Executive Director of Access & Opportunity

The Executive Director of Access & Opportunity serves as the University’s ADA/504 Coordinator, Equal Employment  Officer, Clery Compliance Officer, and Title IX Coordinator for students, employees, applicants, and visitors. The Executive Director is responsible for coordinating and overseeing university programs to ensure compliance with applicable University policies, procedures, processes, best practices, and training in compliance with the Clery Act and anti-discrimination legislation and regulations, including Title VII, Title IX, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The Executive Director supervises the Office of Access and Opportunity, which consists of the Disability Resources and Equal Opportunity, by providing departmental leadership and strategic direction.

Maranda joined the University in 2004. 

 

  

 

 

 

AO Executive Administrative & Budget Officer

The AO Executive Administrative & Budget Officer provides comprehensive oversight of administrative operations and budgetary functions, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and strategic alignment across the Equal Opportunity and Disability Resources units. This role also serves as the primary executive assistant to the Executive Director, offering high-level support in daily operations, communications, and organizational priorities.
